ABOUT

A preeminent figure within the film industry, Sharon has been financing cashflow solutions in film and television for producers for over 25 years.

Sharon has experience at the highest levels across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She is most widely recognised for establishing Fulcrum Media Finance in 2008, with See-Saw Films. Under her tenure, Fulcrum provided over AUD$750 million in lending on over 450 projects with loans ranging from AUD$90,000 to over AUD$15 million without a single default. She established lines of credit with an Australian superannuation fund and Bank of Montreal, which together totalled in excess of AUD$250 million.

Sharon's newest venture, Hinterland, is the culmination of her experience, focusing on providing tailored and producer-friendly financing solutions for independent and creative producers in New Zealand, with unparalleled local rebate knowledge.

A loyal industry advocate, Sharon's experience extends to governance, with over 15 years in chair, board and advisory positions at the national level across Australasia. Currently, she is a Trustee of the New Zealand Film Festival Trust and Chair of Film Bay of Plenty, Ngā Auaha Whakaari o Te Waiariki. Previous roles include the Co-President of the New Zealand Screen Production and Development Association (SPADA) and the President of Women In Film and Television (WIFT).
